First Visit Expectations

If you’re like most patients, you appreciate being informed before arriving at the dentist. Below is an overview of what you can expect during your first visit to Advanced Dental Care.

Let’s get to know each other

Your first visit is not only about our team getting to know you, but also about you getting to know our team. In the time we spend together, we encourage you to ask questions, express your concerns, and share with us anything you want us to know to help make your care as individual as you are. Part of getting to know you and providing safe, personalized support involves reviewing your medical history. Certain medical conditions and medications and can influence your treatment protocols – so you will be asked to provide a list of your medications and their dosages (including vitamins and supplements). A full-mouth series of x-rays and a comprehensive oral exam of your teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw will be performed, including a non-invasive oral cancer screening.

YOU’RE IN GREAT HANDS

If you haven’t been to a dentist for a while, please don’t worry. You’ve made an important decision – no need to feel guilty. Once your entire exam is complete, your dentist will talk with you about his findings. Together you can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your dental and personal requirements. We can prioritize and stagger your treatments to give you a smile you deserve in a timeframe you can afford. Finally, we want you to know we will go above and beyond to make you feel relaxed and safe. Not only is your physical comfort important to us, but your emotional comfort is as well. So, come in, recline and unwind – you’re in great hands.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY CLOSURE

Dental Office Closure Due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Our top priority is the health and well-being of our patients, families, staff and community. In this unprecedented time, we are deeply committed to keeping everyone safe. Considering the evolving pandemic and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to close our practice for the next [week/two weeks]. We believe that this closure will allow us to more effectively evaluate this dynamic situation and assist in following the CDC’s guidance on social separation. If you have an appointment scheduled with us this week, our office will be in touch to help reschedule your appointment. There WILL be a dentist on call in the event of a dental emergency. Should you require emergency dental care, please call our office as you normally would or email and one of our dentists will contact you. We did not make this decision lightly. A great deal of care, research and planning guided our decision. We will continue to evaluate the situation as it evolves and determine on a weekly basis when it is appropriate for us to return to our normal business hours. Again, please understand that we are making this decision with the health and well-being of our patients, our families, our team and our community in mind. We wish all of you continued health and strength during this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Advanced Dental
